How It Works
A small amount of blood is drawn from the arm, in the office on the same day as the procedure. A numbing lidocaine cream is applied to the penis, so that there is no pain during injection into the area. The blood is put into a centrifuge to separate the platelets and plasma. The platelets are then transferred into another tube where a few drops of calcium chloride solution “trick” the platelets into thinking that they are in the body, and that the body has been injured.
